Development Update: In-World Notifications Are Coming! from 乙αηίđu ｲıţıαη's blog

One of the biggest requests we’ve had is making sure you don’t have to constantly check the website to know when something important happens.

I’m happy to say that’s already underway.

Instead of relying on email notifications, Taboo! Dating is being integrated directly with Second Life. If you’re in-world, you’ll receive instant IM notifications from your Taboo! Dating HUD/object whenever important activity happens on your account.

Already completed:

• ✅ New private messages
• ✅ Virtual gifts
• ✅ Match conversations (when a mutual match opens a conversation)

Currently in development:

• ? Friend request notifications
• ? Additional notification types where they make sense

The goal is simple: stay in-world and never miss what matters.

No more checking email. (Becase the email system is disabled, as it's SL only and we don't have email addresses in here!)
No more wondering if someone replied.
Just a discreet in-world notification letting you know it’s time to hop over to Taboo! Dating.

As always, your existing notification preferences will continue to be respected, so you’ll only receive the types of notifications you’ve chosen to enable.

This is one more step toward making Taboo! Dating feel like a natural extension of Second Life instead of just another website.
